Steven is another product of the mini track, amateur meetings and practices at Scunthorpe. He raced Moto X from the age of seven but after reaching a decent level (his twin brother is one of the country's top riders) he grew bored with the sport. After watching the sport on Sky TV with his dad he decided to try it on our mini-track last May. He quickly took to it and decided to purchase

his own 500cc machine. By the end of August Steven had attended a practice session and entered his first amateur meeting in which he finished second in the Support Class. This was after his mum, who was undoubtedly nervous, had initially suggested that he might be better in the Novice Class. He returned for the October meeting and won the Support Class before finishing fourth behind Paul Starke, Ashley Birks and Matt Bates in the December Open Class meeting.

Throughout his time at the Eddie Wright Raceway, and despite weather limiting track time in 2010, Steven always impressed and his efforts have been rewarded with a place in the Saints line-up.
